My fire hd isn't working right so amazon is sending a replacement. But I need help!

Does anyone know if there is a way to save audio books from overdrive so I can have them on the new device? They were limited time freebie audio books, not from Audible. I downloaded them from their site directly to my now defective fire hd.

I also appreciate any tips for a simple way to just simply  transferring all info, docs, settings... to a new device. This fire hd has been my lifeline for so long & I use it for everything! Just hate to lose any important stuff I might forget.

I've not used them but do you have an "account" where it shows what you have downloaded/purchased where you can download again?  I have that option with a few sites and would think it might be similar.

No, I thought I did have an account but no, I don't. What it is, is the free ya audio books from audiobooksync.com that they had over the summer & I'd downloaded them on my kindle fire overdrive app. I'd always assumed that they'd downloaded to my overdrive account & I could just get them on my phone overdrive app if needed, but that's not the case. The accounts are the same for library downloads, just not these downloaded audio books I guess.

I think you'd need to transfer them to a computer first, then onto the new kindle fire.  I don't think you can do a direct transfer from one to another.

So go into your computer files, create a new folder and then out all your kindle stuff in there. Then transfer it onto the new one. That way you've got a back up on your computer.

When you get Audio books that require Overdrive Download to your PC 1st then transfer them from there.
