YA historic fiction, about the unification of England, beginning with King Edward (The Confessor), Harold II, and William (The Conquerer). All of this is chronicled by a welsh teen, who the saxons call "Shadow." Even though I am somewhat familiar with this part of history, I was amazed with the number of milestone events that took place in the four-year span of this novel.

All-in-all this was a very good first-offering by this author, and will be enjoyed by history buffs as well as adventurers.

This book was quite enjoyable and was based in real battles and people. I'm sure whoever reads this will love it because its action pack and will keep you reading till you're done.
