My least favorite of all of Adriana Trigiani's books. About 50 pages too long, the plot kind of wanders around. The characters are many, yet some of them are so similar it's hard to tell who is who.

Adriana Trigiani writes beautiful descriptions that make you feel as though you are in the living room, on the street, looking out the window of whatever scene she describes.

Kiss Carlo is a moving story of an Italian-American family living in South Philly after WWII. The antics of family members, the loyalty and love they share, will have you full of joy and sometimes full of tears.

Her best novel, in my opinion, is The Shoemaker's Wife. But Kiss Carlo is enjoyable.
