wondeful and exciting

After years of working in Washington for the women's sufferage movement, Katie Jones returns to her native Idaho, where women have the right to vote, but seldom exercise it. Her arrival back home--with unpopular beliefs and the courage to voice them---throws the entire town into an uproar, inspiring some and angering many more.
Ben Rafferty, her oldest and dearest friend, proves to be her most ardent supporter. . .and possibly her downfall. For seeing Ben again
sparks feelings in Katie completely at odds with her notions of women"s independence---emotions her mind fervently resists, but which have her heart voting an enthusiastic "yes!"

I really enjoyed this book.
