Every once in awhile a very special book comes along. This is one of those. I loved it from start to finish and really didn't want it to end. I could not put it down.
I found this story of 1800 Plantation life a riveting read.
If you like this period you must read this book. Kathleen Grissom has done fantastic research on the plantation/slave era. This is by far one of the best I have read.Be sure to read the Author's notes at the end to really appreciate the work she put into her research.
