Better than average Quantum Leap book. Sam is pitted against the 'evil leaper' who threatens to leap into anyone he ever touches. She also makes an emotional appeal to him because they are in similar situations. Sam's target is a historical recreationist (SCA) type who has written a medieval romance book, the subject of which forms a love triangle with his competitor in the joust; who also claims to have written the book. If that weren't tricky enough, the target is destined to design a critical component of the Leap mechanism.
