A boxer with a talent, that could only exist in the seedy underground of New Orleans. Crews takes you on a journey through this man's life, you find yourself rooting for the final knockout and at the same time wanting to throw in the towel for Eugene Talmadge Biggs

Not one of my favorites, but it is a well-written, and entertaining book.

Another winner from Crews. I've now read 4 of his novels and I liked them all and will search out the rest of his books. He creates great characters and puts them in some crazy situations.
