I am looking for a book that I read as teen in the early 90s. I know it was a Lass Small book but I can not figure out which one it was. I think it may be part of a series but i dont know for sure. The girl's name was pepper. she drove a red convertable with the lincence plate REDHOT.her father was in the army and all of her brothers had careers. the guy is aslo in the army and got in trouble for sleeping with a superier officers wife. i cant remember if he did or if she just said she did. any way this guy know the family(I think that fathers are army buddies) and the girls father got the guy under him. the rest of the story was Pepper is an inventer and she has designed a new cot and her and this guy are sent into the desert try them out. peppers father made the arrangment wanting the two of them together. of course. any way they had a long adventure and end up together.

i am sorry if i have confursed any one. Those are the details I remember. If anyone know this book please let me know.

damn....it must be someone else but I remember that the cover was like the covers on the Lass small books. i must have read one of hers around the same time.
