Copying from another forum, FYI

It used to be that one had to be a member to read our forums. Now, the general public can read them; one does not have to log in to read the forums.  To post, they would still need to become a member though.  Just thought I would let you guys know, incase you post personal stories, photographs, links, etc

Since anyone in the world can easily become a member of the site, even use bogus information if they wish to - And, even when you had to be a member of the site to read the forums, you did not have to be a regular forum poster And, even if people give their real names, I don't think you can search the meber directory by real name, and, even if you could, can you really think of the real name of everyone you know and everyone who effects you, work, socially, church, family, hometown, ect, ect - This really does not change anything. This was never a great place to post anything you want to keep private. (Most internet web forums are not. If you want a more private group, join a mailing group.)
