I haven't read anything by Mary Balogh and today in the supermarket I picked up Simply Magic. I didn't know it was a series.Should I read the books before this one or can I read it alone? Thanks for your help.

I think for SIMPLY PERFECT, you should read some previous books because a lots of previous characters appear which is one of the many things that piss me off about Balogh these days. I do know the Hero first appears in ONE NIGHT OF LOVE. I would also read the book from the SLIGHTLY series where Fredja is the heroine because she is the patroness of the school.

Jessie, I'm reading Simply Magic too.  I did read most of the others first, and I think it does help, though this could be read alone.  It just feels comfortable knowing about the school and most of the other characters.

Thanks..I'll read it. I just hate reading out of order. Sadly I have no other books to read so  it's this or nothing.

No other books to read??? This statement can only come from a person who hasn't been with PBS very long LOL. Don't worry Jessie...after a while you will find you have so many books to chose from you won't know which one to start with.
