Don't see why not.  Because if someone says "yes" the simple next step is for them to post.  You then get the wish list item to respond to.

In the Book Bazaar there is occasionally a thread entitled “I am number 1 on the WL for these books” or  something similar.

Being the only wisher, you’re obviously number one so I think it would be okay to use or start one of these threads. You wouldn’t be asking for WL books out of turn or trying to jump the lines.
