Please, please, tell me what the "Q" stands for in this title? I know the rest.  If its queer, isn't that the same as gay?

Queer includes more than just gay.  Gay refers to men.  Queer is considered a broader term, including straights who cross dress, folks with fetishes, and people who are intersexed.   But not everyone is comfortable with using queer.  It's a reclaimed term,  so some folks still dislike the negative past it brings with it.  There is a kinda of angry pride that comes with the term.

According to Urban Dictionary - LGBTQ:  1.  lesbian gay bisexual transgendered questioning.  2. During an orientation for new students in the masters program in social work at CSULB, LGBTQ was used and everyone said "what's the Q for?" I guess they were afraid to actually use the word Queer, so they said "it means Questioning, as applied to young people, questioning their sexuality."
