I collected a TON of Audiobooks for a relative when her eyesight started to fail.  Now that she has passed away I find I have a TON of Audiobooks that I really don't feel like listing separately, fielding separate requests for, and then mailing separately.  Is there ANY way in the PBS system to negotiate "bulk" placements of books?  Someone else might want a TON of Audiobooks!

This is the place Barry. You are going to have to let members at least know the titles, the minimum you want to send in a package, and the number of credits you want. You can add that information to your post above.

Barry,  Could you separate them into categories?   First cassette vs CDs then categories such as Historical Fiction, Religious Fiction, Nonfiction, Biographies, cozy mysteries, romance, westerns etc.  Then one at a time in this forum offer e.g. the following 10+ Historical Romances and list them.  When they are taken list your next category.  I think that would be a fast and not too time consuming at one time way to do it.  I know some people on PBS including myself order mostly audiobooks to listen to while walking, doing housework or driving back and forth to work so I don't think you'd have a problem getting several to be taken at once with or without deals.

I would be interested in half a ton. But need to know what they are per Theresa's message. I have arthritis and it is very hard to hold a book now.

I'll take all the fantasy!  No kidding.  I'm desperate.  Cull them out and quote me a price.  I'm game.

I would be interested in a large bunch of mystery, thriller, action type for my Dad.  As some of the other members have said group them out and give us a price.

Almost everyone needs some particulars about the audio books.

1. Type - CD or Cassette

2. Genre - how many in each, specific authors with multiple audio books.

3. Titles if possible.

Without that you may have a hard time making deals.

Here's any offer for you that makes sense when you understand the cost of Media Mail bulk mailing rates. They are charged by the pound, not by the ounce. Here's a copy of the USPS rate page. As you can see after the first pound each pound only cost an additional $.50. Since you can send about 8 to 10 audio books per pound, Quantity counts.

I'll offer to take ALL of them, but I must know how many you have in total.

I offered to buy them all.  Suggested he check on the shipping cost.  Never heard back.  Maybe he found someone nearby who wanted them.  I can't go to Chicago...I live in Dallas.
