I have been sending out PBS books for awhile using stamps.. I just recently switched to the pre-paid postage option. I have found that on those lables, I can barely read the address that is printed. The difference is amazing. The printing on the postage paid is 1/8th the size of the non-postage labels. I have sent an email to PBS but the reply said 'Don't worry about it and 'don't hand-print the address in larger letters'. Has anybody else noticed this? Am I just being picky? My mailman's opinion was that he would have a very hard time reading it and hope he doesn't get any that are printed that small. Just wondering, Suzie |

I don't used printed postage Suzie. But at a guess (and remembering books I've received) the lables should be similar. IIRC that's actually part of why PBS members get a DC discount, the 'standardized' label is that much easier to process. I've seen posts about computer/printer settings, so hopefully someone will come along soon with an answer for you. Have you checked the Help documents? Otherwise, you might want to contact TPTB. |

Yes, the prepaid postage labels print smaller than the regular labels. They are printed exactly as USPS requires them to be though so no altering should be done and the postal carrier is just going to have to put on his glasses :) |
