I had not known that this was written by Obamas half sister until after I read it. It is a tale very reminiscent to Tomie dePaolas books. Mixed with folk lore and longing for her child to have know her grandmother. The images are fairy tale like and beautiful. I enjoyed taking in the tale of granddaughter helping the grandmother help the world as they looked from the moon.
