Kathy Kelly is a fantastic peace activist who has lived in the US and in Iraq since the mid-1980s. Recently arrested for her work bringing medical supplies to Iraq under the sanctions, she wrote this book to give voice both the Iraqi people that she lived and worked with, and to the people she met while in prison here in the states.

Although the writing style is a little lacking, this is definitely worth the read.

This was a fascinating and heart-breaking book. Kelly's observations on the sanctions against Iraq, the Iraq war, and the US prison system are eye-opening.
