This book is similar to the "A Child Called It" & "A Man Named Dave" series. It's about a girl who was horribly abused as a child, and therefore, does not speak. She is cared for by a group of nuns. The story is written from the point-of-view of her psychiatrist, who is able to go inside her world to help her make tremendous progress within herself. The book focuses on the abuse briefly at the beginning, but the main focus of the book is on her recovery and growth.
