I am wondering if anyone knows who has the largest bookshelf. I am just curious to see who has the most books listed. I asked one of the live chat people, but she said there isn't a way to tell. I thought perhaps someone in the club might know.

You can get an idea - go to the Top 50's under the Community tab and click on Top 50's.  That will give you an idea if you click on the  Swappers file and you will be able to click on their booksheves to see.  I noticed that one has 2,500 books!  i wouldn't be going through his list!

Thanks Ruth, I actually did go through the top 50s and found some with a rather large shelf. I wouldn't be going through anyone's list who had over 2000 either:) I was just curious to see who has listed the most books.

I have almost 3 pages and don't want to go over that because I know I get bored going thru large bookshelves.  Hope to have more requested cuz I still have a few cartons to post.

I cannot remember her name off the top of my head, but there is a member here who has well over 2,000 books on her shelf.   I didn't go through all her pages but did search the shelf using authors, genre and key words to look for books I might be interested in.  She had a lot, as you can imagine, and was willing to do a deal, which is always great.

Winston and Sherry N both have really large shelves.

I don't like large shelves either.  More then a page or two and I get tired of scrolling even with the search feature. If you like more than one genre that's just a lot of books to go through.

I love large bookshelves! I just filter then with genre and skip over all the books I am not interested in.

I know of a few that are in the 2500 range and more in the 1000 to 2000 range.

LOL!  At first I thought "no doubt", but then I realized the between Mt TBR and my posted books I have almost 1000 right there.  That doesn't touch all the kids bookshelves or the schooling books..which are in tubs and boxes under beds, in bedrooms, etc.  I bet it wouldn't be hard for us to at least hit 1500 books...we can sleep, but walking about is a challenge, lol.

I wonder how many orders those members must be sending out!  My 200ish bookshelf keeps me in enough orders and I can keep track of them reasonably well, lol.  I had it up to 500 once and, for me, that was a little overwhelming.  Kudos to those who can manage shelves that large!

Robin (Springy) I believe used to have one of the biggest. She ran in the 8,000+ range most of the time. I see she has removed all her books at this time tho. She does that periodically. Bret (Advertisement) is back up ~2,000 but has been known to be well over that. I run around 1,000~ but you need to add my DH's shelf to that and he usually runs ~900.

That said, DH & I still have boxes of books upstairs to go thru to post, and a TBR room that outnumbers our swap shelves X times. Our swap books are in the living room on the floor-ceiling, wall-to-wall shelves that are on two of the walls (one being only couch top to ceiling) and can sustain about 2,200+ books.

Oh, and where do we sleep? In the bedroom which I keep telling DH is NOT the place for storing books, they belong in a box upstairs in the TBR room unless he is planning on reading them shortly. He never listens to me tho.
