This is a gripping, heart-breaking, true-story about the murder of an innocent little two-year old girl. It is not graphic or gory, and it never does answer the reason or the "why" it was done, however, it shows the perserverance of the little girl's grandmother, a detective and a DA and how it all paid off. I highly recommend this book to anyone who's reading tastes include true-crime stories.

This is an excellent writer. He tells the story in a way to keep one's interest, yet the facts are intack. I rate Carlton Stowers as a crime writer right up there with Ann Rule.

Incredibly sad story of a child's death, and the dogged determination of her mother and grandmother to find the truth. I recently discovered Mr. Stowers when I noticed that Ann Rule recommended one of this book. I have now read 3 of his, and I plan to read more.

They found a female police investigator who was convince their suspicions were correct. Especially when they found that the father had taken out a huge life insurance policy on the little girl. This book was easy readying, The only thing I didn't like about is that it didn't tell why the father killed his daughter, would of liked more detail.

The local medical examiner could not determine the cause of little Remee's death. Buther mother, Annette & grandmother Sharon were convinced she'd been murdered - and that they knew the identity of Renee's killer - her handsome father Shanne Goode, a manipulative, emotionally abusive man who displayed virtualy no interest in Renee - untill he took out a $50,000 Ins Policy on her life.

Carlton Stowers' book is a very well written, detailed account of the life and death of two year old Renee Goode. He introduces the reader to all the characters in the story and gives a complete picture of Renee's family and the horrible way her life is ended at the hands of her own father. He tells of the relentless battle Renee's grandmother fights to find someone to help get justice for little Renee. Mr. Stowers also tells of the in-depth investigation and those who worked so diligently to make sure a killer does not go free to possibly kill again. He has told this story with such compassion, the book is really hard to put down.
