This is such an excellent book. Although it is fiction it is so well written that it takes your breath away. It tells the story about the Cheyenne Indians who were on the reservation and they decided to go home, home meaning the Black Hills. It is their journey and the hardships that they suffered along the way. Many soldiers were dispatched to bring them back to the reservation, and only a few made it Home. I could not put this book down and read it almost straight through. Loved it!!!
