Dorsey Collins, FBI agent and daughter of infamous FBI agent, Matt Raneiri, who solved the crime now coming back into the spotlight. 24 years ago, Matt arrested Eric Beale for the murder of Shannon Randall though no body was ever found. Now the body of Shannon has surfaced, only 8 hours old. Dorsey is tasked with FBI agent Andrew Shields to investigate Shannon's disappearance 24 years ago. Why she disappeared and how? Where she's been? What tragedy caused her to flee her home? And, the big question, how did Eric get railroaded for something he obviously did not do?
Regardless of the subject matter, this is a thrilling book. Well-written, draws you right in with the OMG factor. This book caught my attention from the first chapter and didn't let go until the final page. Totally spellbinding!
WARNING: This book has spoilers from her "Dead" series. If you have any intention of reading that series, don't read this one first!

I expected more romance, but overall this wasn't a bad book. It's mostly from the heroine's point of view,
but we get a little, maybe 20% from the Hero's perspective. Despite the story dragging a little bit in the middle
( like a bad episode of Law and Order) it picks up in the second half of the book and continued to keep my
interest all the way to the end...The main characters, both the good and bad guys are intriguing,
and keep you guessing till the mysteries are solved. Despite the lack of romance, I'm looking forward to reading the next 2 books
in the series!
