The story line was really good but it took me a little while to get into the book. She writes in the first person and I don't know, her writing style just didn't pull me too much.

Couldn't get into this rambling book. The introduction by the author was more riveting than the actual plotline. The heroine spends most of the book with her teenage son and her parents, rambling on about their ties to a local drive-in movie theater. Each chapter is named after a classic movie. There was no romance in this book. I'd consider it more of a family fiction book.

I loved this book! Aimee has been happy in her life on the island. She has her parents, her son and the weekly trip to the Halfmoon Drive In. There's also her amicably divorced exhusband.

But this summer...she has to make 247 cat plates for a wedding, her ex is coming back to stay for the entire summer (at her house) and the drive in is closing at the end of the summer.

Aimee isn't sure what's going to happen with the closing, isn't sure what's happening with her ex or her life.

Exceptional characters really drive this story!
