Somehow, I don't think the author likes George Steinbrenner very much. I do feel obligated to point out that in the 13 yearssince the so called "end" of the "dynasty" in 2004, the Yankees have far and away a better record than any other team (in aggregate, 34 games ahead of the Cards, 52 games ahead of the Red Sox, 60 games ahead of the Angels, 63 games ahead of the Dodgers), the Yankees are the only team with a winning record every year, and have won the same or more World Championships than 26 of the 29 teams (of course, the dreaded Red Sox have been much better about winning it all, but that was after a 100 year drought.)
