With her usual flow of the Aurora Teagarden series Harris has again succeeded in a wonderful story. It blended the loss of her husband to ending her grieving artfully and wove another murder artfully. Until the end of the book I was really not sure who had killed the victim. The humor is perfect, the story delightful and the mystery well woven into the plot.

I was a little disappointed in this book. The plot centered more around the main character, Aurora's personal angst, than around the murder of an actress. I am a big fan of this author's Sookie Stackhouse series and this was 180 degrees opposite. Maybe it was just cozier than my tastes....

After the sudden twist in the ending of 'A Fool and His Honey", I was filled with trepidation to read the next one in the series. As "Last Scene Alive" is currently out of print (being re-released May, 2009), I had some time to wait...and forgive. This is a lighter story and a quick-red.

I enjoyed this one more than I did #5 and #6. The way Roe's widowhood was handled was realistic and sympathetic. I enjoyed the story and found the conclusion interesting and surprising. There is not much character development other than Roe and Robin but as I felt the last few had been to bogged down by character development that was a plus. Looking forward to #8.

I love this series by Charlaine Harris. This was probably my least favorite in the series but it was still very good. I love the character Roe. She is always a lot of fun.

I have enjoyed this series very much. Its not as laugh out loud funny as Sookie and its not quite as dark as Harper, but I like Roe and the characters around her. Harris gets alittle long winded on some of the descriptions from time to time, like the clothes Roe wears but for the most part its a good read.

In another enjoyable cozy mystery from Charlaine Harris, Aurora "Roe" Teagarden begins to recover from her husband's early death (in the previous book in the series) just as the movie crew arrives in town to film the true crime events she was involved in years earlier. As a murder is committed on-set, Roe finds herself once again at the scene of a crime and being targeted by a stalker and a murderer, as well as drawn back into the arms of a former flame. Once again, Ms. Harris writes a delightful mystery with a character who knows her own flaws and deals with them, while keeping you guessing about the eventual solution to the mystery.

I just finished reading this complete series (8 books) and I feel Charlaine Harris did an excellent job with the characters, unexpected twists and plots. I often read an entire book in one setting so I could find out who did it and why!

Read out of order, (that's how I swapped them) made this a depressing book because it revealed that Aurora's new husband was dead (thankfully not murdered). These Teagarden murder mysteries are quick reads, but in my opinion, not with the bookself space to keep, so I'm swapping them off.

Enjoyed this one by Harris as well. The Teagarden character grows all the time and gets better and better.

The Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceton is the set of a TV movie about a serial killer who terrorized the town 10 years earlier. Aurora Teagarden's ex, Robin Caruso, who helped Roe solve the crime has written the screen play. Soon the real life script turns deadly. The catty actess playing Roe is murdered.

Good series, good read.. Was a little upset with book six's ending so I wasn't really getting into this one at first, but after the first 30 pages or so, I was right back in my Aurora grove..

Another good story about the life and times of a cool character, though this one didn't grab me quite as much as the one just before it in the series. I'm sad to see that there's only one book left for me to read in Aurora's saga. I wish this series had many more because they are hard to put down. I recommend them all.

Another great book in the Aurora Teagarden series! Her first murder case, from Book 1, Real Murders, was about a serial killer who terrorized suburban Lawrencetown. Now that story which was made into a book by her ex, Robin, is being made for the small screen. Robin shows up back in town, along with her stepson, Barrett, who has a starring role. Then there's Celia -- the catty actress portraying Roe -- who, by the way, also happens to be Robin's latest squeeze. But when Celia is murdered and Barrett is accused, the real-life script takes a deadly turn. Between threatening letters, deranged fans and renewed feelings for Robin, Aurora has one goal: catch a killer and make it to the final scene alive.

Loved this book because I really like Robin Crusoe, it's an interesting take on the Hollywood scene, and of course, its about my favorite detective!!
