It was hard to get going in this book, but about midway through it got really good and turned out to be worth reading. My favorite characters were Harry and Eunice, the maintenance guy and his wife.

This was my first book by this author, but it definitely won't be the last! I don't want to give away anything about the story, but it's seldom my jaw literally drops at the final discovery in this mystery.

My friend and I swap books, and I put a sticky note on the front of this one with a "thumbs up" sign so she'll know to put it on the top of her 'to be read' pile.

Great read!

Brooke Yeager's childhood ended the night she crept downstairs to find her mother lying in a pool of blood. Standing above her mother's shattered body, a gun aimed right at the terrified little girl, was Brooke's stepfather. Luck saved Brooke that night, and in the years since, she has managed to build a good life in West Virginia, secure knowing that her stepfather is safe behind bars. Until the night another woman is murdered - a woman who looks just like Brooke..... Excellent book with lots of twists and turns. Great read!!!
