This is my second, better copy, so I am posting it here. I will never ever part with this book again! I first read it in the late 70's, right after it came out, on a road trip with my parents. I was maybe 14 and the story stuck with me for the 30+ years since. Beautifully written tale of a nosy human's accidental introduction to the world of fairy, and his indoctrination into all things magical as a result. Lots of intrigue, action, and suspense! The author's mythology feels so true and real. I love this book and can't wait to read the others Ms. Haldeman wrote.
