This is a continuation of the Kent family chronicles which centers around Gideon, the publisher, but also includes the life and death of brother, Jeremiah. We also learn about the other brother, Matt, who is the artist. It is the next-to-the-last book of the eight book series and a good one.

I thought action was to slow and author to long winded.

The 7th volume of The Kent Family Chronicles takes the reader through the post-Civil War era into the period of fighting for workers' rights aginst the unscrupulous business barons. Great historical novel.
