I really liked this book. It is the story of Claire a single mom, and published authors' journey in this christian life.

You read how Claire learns to pick up the broken pieces of her life and she how she learns how to cope. How she laughs inspite of herself.

After a surgery Claire faces the reality of how disconnected she has become while immersed in her career. Since Claire has been busy working, her kids have grown distant, her mother has decided to move away, and her life has spiraled out of control.
Claire comes to the conclusion that she can not fix her family by herself. Claire starts to realize that sometimes the only way to truly grow is to let go of her own plans and embrace Gods. She learns how to GIVE the broken pieces of her life to her heavenly Daddy to fix.

This story was funny, poingant, Claire is a character you can relate to and has a suprising spiritual depth to it. Sometimes this book came close to my own life and was uncomfortable to read. IT was very powerful.

I could not get past all of the religion issues, so I ended up putting the book down. I did not realize that this book was so heavily ensconced in religion when I got the book, so that was my own fault. I do not want to read a book in which the mother tells the daughter that she is miserable because she "has lost touch with God" when she is obviously dealing with depression after a divorce and her husband is remarried.

Since I did not finish the book, I have no recommendations other this -- if you like religious books, than you might like this one. If you do not want to read a book in which the main characters are constantly referring to god or praying or asking for help from god, then don't pick this one up.

Hilarious, thought provoking, real to life chick lit. I couldn't put this one down.

This was definitely a fun book to read. I had never read anything of hers, but am anxious to find another and the second in this series.
