Lee Upton (born June 2, 1953 St. Johns, Michigan) is an American poet and a graduate of the MFA Program for Poets & Writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is the author of several books of poetry and literary criticism, including Civilian Histories (2000, University of Georgia Press) and The Muse of Abandonment (Bucknell University Press).
