Has anyone read the Left Behind series? I am on the 10th book and totally loving it. I started reading them when they first came out and stopped b/c I thought the first few were really slow. But, the farther I get in the series, the better they get!

I think they are really encouraging and was surprised to find that I've grown from reading them.

Anyone have any thoughts?

yes, i read them when they originally came out. i still enjoy the first few books, but after a while, i just sorta lost interest.  the main series itself is good, but the prequels and the final sequel Kingdom Come, i thought were just horrible. many repetitive stuff and at that point it just felt like the authors were were just milking the cash cow. I was very disappointed in Kingdom Come.

I loved them all, & I usually reread them every so often. :)

I enjoyed the whole series, and even the prequels, but was also disappointed in Kingdom Come.

I loved them. I did not get to read the prequels yet as they don't come up much at our Good Will here, so I was so glad to find this sight. I have both sets and have read them twice. My kids are now just starting to read them and they are loving them too. I know it is just fiction, but it helped me to understand the book of Revelations better.  Just starting on some of their other books and I am liking them also.

A lady in my church loves the series, but has caught herself in Sunday school class claiming certain things are true and then realizing she learned these things from the books! A person has to be so careful to know the difference between fiction and the bible. I read the first book and decided I wouldn't read any more. I didn't want to get caught up in the total fiction of these books. No one really knows what is going to happen. My daughter read the first few kids books and they scared her to death. There is no Good News for kids in these books. Scaring kids into faith isn't right. These books are fiction.

I have read the series but after reading them I also listened to the last few in the car on a long trip. All I can say is they are fiction but they definitely leads one to

to Praise the Lord. I was often in tears of joy in the reading of the Glorious appearing. I will say I recommended this audio book to someone but she had not read

the previous books so it did not make a lot of sense to her. I can't wait for the second coming. Whether this is pure fiction or a small window into what it could be

does not matter as it turned my heart to God and praise.

The first 3 books were slow and repetitive but after that they really began to roll. Enjoy!

I have the whole series and all but I think 4 are hardcover if anyone is interested in reading them.  I was keeping them for our kids, but we aren't reading much fiction anymore
