Has anyone read this? it just came out the last couple of months. It's an imaginary setting/countries/peoples, but otherwise pretty realistic; something like medieval times or a bot more recent.

It's really good---but the funny thing is, it was really hard for me to get in to. I did not have much else to read, or I probably would not have stuck with it. But it's turned out quite impressively---and apparently is the first in a series.
