I'm starting this new topic because I searched the boards and can't find the answer: Safeway's Friday's Family Deal was 8 pc Fried Chicken for 5$. Great deal, yah? Well, now I'm left with SIX pieces of fried chicken sitting in my fridge and wondering what to do with it. Any ideas?

you can remove the skin and take it off the bone and make chicken tacos, or chicken quesadillas.

chicken sandwiches sound yummy!  like a turkey sandwich after Thanksgiving!!

You can make a pot of soup.

Chicken and dumplings

Chicken casserole

You can re-heat it as it as it is by putting it on a cookie sheet, and putting it in the oven.   i will put it i, then turn the oven on to 350.  By the time it gets heated, they chicken is hot and crispy again!

There is no such animal at my house. All the chicken is eaten all the time. But, my family also loves Smothered Chicken. I go buy fried chicken(no, I can't fry chicken). Take it home, make a big pot of gravy and throw in the fried chicken. Let it cook for about 15 minutes and you have almost instant smothered chicken.

Send it to my house, I have a teen aged boy!!!

Quick and delish chicken salad.  Take the chicken off the bone and cut in into bite size pieces, add 1/4 tsp minced garlic (optional), 1/4 c chopped celery, 1/4 c raisins (craisins work GREAT), 1small apple peeled and chopped and a handful of chopped pecans, then stir in 1/4 to 1/2 c. mayo (lite or whatever) just until it's salad consistency .  Salt and pepper to taste.  YUMMMMMMMMM.  On whole wheat bread...

Yesterday we used our leftover chicken by mixing with 4 oz cream cheese, a tsp of garlic, rolled it up in crescent rolls and baked for about 15 min.  There was enough left over for hubby's lunch as well.  My dog was a happy camper as he got all the skin lol
