Larry Niven -- what more needs to be said? Seriously, a fascinating novel that is a kind of SF future version of the ancient story of Beowulf and Grendel. A colony is established by human beings on a beautiful planet...but not all inhabitants of the planet are peaceful. A great read.

I really enjoyed this book. I had read and liked books by all three authors so I thought I would give this a try. Good characters and a plot. Well paced. A "reap what you sow" type of story.

I liked this book, Very gritty. Colonists land on a planet without realizing the dangers. I really liked this series.

I've liked all of the Niven/Pournelle books. I was a little disappointed by this offering, but still solid SF.
