Not at all well written. If someone who lives in Nebraska is going to write a book set in New Mexico, he should do more research than this one apparently did. He needs upgrades in linguistics (a county called 'San Felipe" would never be spelled 'San Phillipe'), geography (the town of Artesia is no where near northern New Mexico and so is not likely to be included in mythical 'San Phillipe' county), and history (the Zuni people do not live where they do because they were 'settled there by the white man'; they lived where they are now for hundreds of years before the Spanish or Anglos ever wandered into the area). There's also a ridiculous plot that seems to confuse Anasazi and Aztec practices, and most of the characters are pretty much caricatures. In short, feb!
