I completely loved this book. It was so fun! I loved the time travel to "The Old West". Wouldn't we all love to do that? It was also surprising in parts....you think you know what's about to happen but it doesn't. Something completely different comes to pass. I read a lot so I love a book that surprises me and this one did. I thoroughly enjoyed this story! I would recommend it highly.

Time travel and lots of cooking references. A fun read, but a little cheesy. The chef approves!

This is my favorite book of all time...I ended up with about four copies, didn't want to take the chance that when I was ready to re-read it, I couldn't find it. There are unexpected twists and a heroine that many of us can identify with. She's no Julia Roberts: she's short, loves cooking and antiques. She's also the underdog we can root for, being constantly put down by her fiance' and his mother. But, Kady has heart.
Other reviewers may find fault in the technical aspects and flaws in the author's writing, but this is the book that made me fall in love with time travel romance. This is the standard I measure all others against, for sheer enjoyable reading.

I had a hard time putting this book down but I found that it wrapped up much too quickly. The logical part of my brain didn't like the end, but the happy ever after part was satisfied.

This turned out to be a very different book than the typical romance novels I'm used to reading. The turn of events in this book was really refreshing and unexpected. Jude Deveraux surprises me once again. The characters was also likable and there were many part that made me laugh out loud. Good book.

This a time travel audio, a very interesting romance. I read the book and loved it. The abridged version leaves quite a bit out but you still will get the most of the story.

About what I expect from Deveraux: an easy read, pretty obvious romance, surmountable obstacles.

It was interesting going between present day to past history with a love story to make it happen. The cowboy and country life described were not as romantic as I had hoped. I liked this author's "A night in Shining Armor" better. The idea of the story was almost the same.

I have only read one of Jude Deveraux's books before this one, I fell absolutley in love with this book and the characters in the book. Through the story I was entertained, in love, enraged and ecstatic. I think this must be one of her best yet, I am a time travel fanatic when it comes to romance novels, so i may be a little bias. But that is O.K.
If you Love to read her books and have never read this one, it is one you will store away for a future date to read over and over again. If you mannage to get your hands on a copy of this book, I suggest that you be very particular when letting this one go!!!! A must read for any Deveraux Fan!!!!And i am the newest fan she has!!!!

you know when you get one of those books that you don't want to come to an end? Well this is one of those reads.
.................... ......................... ....
Petite Kady Long, a celebrated chef about to be married to a gorgeous man, felt she was the luckiest woman alive. But, when she opened an antique flour tin and discovered a charming old photo of four strangers, she felt a mysterious empathy...and an irresistible desire to try on the delicate satin wedding dress, amethyst earrings, and gossamer veil that were tucked inside. Stranger still was the dizzy spell that came over her...

When she opened her eyes, Kady was in a harsh, sunlit landscape where a band of men had gathered -and a hanging was about to commence! Ever resourceful, Kady managed to stop the outlaws with a rifle shot, and rescue the victim--a tall, rangy and very appealing man.

Anxious to get back to her own time, Kady asked for the stranger's help. But Cole Jordan, of Legend, Colorado, had a prankster's streak-and she ended up his wife instead! If Kady couldn't quite figure out what made him and his town tick, she could at least dispel the notion that she was an obedient nineteenth-century bride. She would put on a fabulous feast that would cost him the moon--and be talked about forever. Meanwhile, Kady was slowly warming up to this enigmatic man-and Legend to boot. But then Cole revealed a secret that seemed to end their Colorado frontier fairy tale...and unite them in a way Kady never could have imagined.
