A great fictional story woven into a Book Of Mormon event. Some parts were better written than others but I enjoyed it. It was a nice quick read. :)
Mara is one of the Nephite Daughters that begs the Lamanites to spare them when King Noah and his priests leave them behind. She is bitter and struggles to escape the bondage they are under. She remembers a vow she made to her grandfather to find the people of Alma. So she takes off in an adventure to find them. Meanwhile the priests of Noah wreck havoc with the Lamanites by stealing their daughters and taking them into the wilderness. But one choses to help his stolen daughter to return to her people. So the book follows them as well as Mara and her companion as they journey to find the people of Mormon.
