I have now been burned twice by lending credits. It just amazes me that some one would take advantage of people like this. I have learned my lesson and will NEVER lend another credit.  I know that it is a minimal amount of money but it is the prinicpal that bothers me the most. In both cases the accounts have been suspended so there is no way to get my credits back. :(

I just had to vent a little to get this out of my system.

That Sucks Jane!!

Please accept the 2 credits I've sent you, knowing that I for one appreciate your kindness!

Merry Christmas :)

It's happened to me too.  One of the members you're referring to also tried to scam me out of a couple of "free" credits.  Bah humbug on the bad members, but there are so many good people on PBS that I guess we have to take the bad with the good.  The bad eventually get found out and shut down/suspended.

The very reason that I give away credits when someone asks for a loan instead of expecting to get them back.  I can't be disappointed in not getting them returned then.  I would rather just choose to pass on the credit as a goodwill gesture than be mad at myself in the end for being sucked in.

I tried to teach my son a lesson a long time ago about giving and lending things.  We were in a WalMart parking lot and someone from another state had a sign that they had been to a funeral in town, were now broke down and could not afford to get home.  I went to McD's and bought some food for the kids playing outside of the van and slipped in a $10.  My son asked, how do you know that sign was true and I told him then that I didn't but wanted to believe that people are truthful and if not, I wouldn't know and did do a good deed to help someone and that was good enough for me.  I know that not everyone is honest about circumstances but I can try once in a while to help by giving my little bit.

Thank you all for your kind words, credits and orders. I didn't expect to be given credits or get orders. I just needed to vent a little and I appreciate all the support.

It is nice to know that I have friends at PBS.

Happy Holidays to all

Aw, reading your kindness, Debbie, just made my day!

I'm constantly running out of credits because I don't get many orders for my books (unless I do a deal and even then I only get a few). I've seen that people will lend others credits but I would be so nervous about asking anyone. I know that I wouldn't intentionally scam someone but I would be too worried that I wouldn't get credits in time to pay them back or something would happen, etc.. I would just never want anyone to feel scammed or taken advantage of!
