Am I the only one lendle.me is agonizingly slow for?  It's taking me 5min so far to look up 1 book.

It's not you...it's them.  They're always slow.  And I've had it happen that they get slow and then I get an error screen.

Good to know it's not just slow for me I guess.  The super slowness of the site is one of the reasons I don't use it all that much.  I don't have the patience to wait several minutes for it just to load up.

I put up with the slow, I've already gotten $160 in amazon gift cards from them :) 

I never manage to lend any books. The only lend requests I ever get come in the middle of the night and are fulilled by the time I get the email.  It's like people only borrow books at 3:am.  I've been on it or almost a year now and have only lende out maybe 8 books.  And I check my email several times a day. I refuse to get up in the middle of the night to check it.  Even when I manage to see the email withing a few minutes of it being sent, by the time lendle.me even opens for me I have alwasy been beaten by someone else.

I joined today after seeing the part about gift cards. I managed to get my books to offer loaded in and had one requested but the site keeps coming up dead to go request any myself. Is that normal?

They've been getting slower and slower. I know they're trying to sell the site, so may be at the point their servers can't handle the traffic but can't afford to upgrade them.

And I don't particularly like the way they send out requests to everyone with a copy of the book. Yes, it'll get loans out really fast, but like Mary most of the requests come in the middle of the night and are long gone by the time I get a notice. I know everyone is wanting to earn the $10 Amazon card, but last year earned one in 3 months, and now it's been 10 months and I'm still not that close to earning another. I can't get many loaned out. I'm suspecting that being a Patron give people first dibs, but since I'm not one can't tell for sure.
