First of all, let the me say the movie MONSTER is a fictional movie very loosely based on the life Aileen Wuornos. In real life, it appears there was only pain, sex, and murder.

The mind of a serial killer can be a dark, terrifying place. This killer, however, managed to reach inside of me and found the place that allowed me to feel such sorrow for her. Aileen Wuornos killed again and again, but reading the story of her life helps the reader understand how the mind becomes twisted - how it somehow turns a person into a killer. The story of one of the country's few female serial killers will haunt you long after you're done reading.
