Alexander Dumas, "The Count of Monte Cristo", Jules Verne, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", the legendary treasure from the Templar sacking of Jerusalem, the Civil War, mermaids, and a few seeming returns from the dead. Only Goleman and his Event Group could put them together in a world and century-encompassing romp that will intrigue you and keep you turning pages all night! I loved this book! The technology is informed and well thought out. The characters continue to develope into friends. And he includes just enough politics and romance for spice, not enough to get sticky. In my humble opinion Leviathan is the best Event Group Thriller yet. And the Event Group is such a unique approach to the historical/modern/technological/thriller concept that I continue to crave more. My earnest wish is that Goleman keeps 'em coming. My rating in only 4.5 because I believe a perfect 5 book is as imaginary as a perfect 10 woman....or man (don't want to piss off the feminists among you).
