I have a NST so working with a Nook Tablet, long distance, with a techno-challenged older person... (face palm)
I'm trying to accomplish two things: helping her download books onto her Nook Tablet and downloading audiobooks from the library onto her iPhone.
1st- I downloaded the Overdrive app from the iTunes store onto her phone and it asked for an Adobe ID (rather ironic since Apple won't use Flash, right?). So, 1st question- to download Overdrive library books onto the Nook Tablet, does she have to go through Adobe DIgital Reader at all?
2nd- so I'll have her download and set up Adobe on the Nook Tablet. Hopefully she used the same email and password for both the Nook and the iPhone and can do so again for Adobe. That will get her set for the Adobe ID for the Overdrive app on the phone for audiobooks.
3rd- how does she download library books on the Nook Tablet? Directly off the NT? Where do they go once she does that? Or does she do it onto the desktop through Adobe Digital and transfer via cable like I do with the NST?
Any help appreciated.
The Adobe ID is for ADR, Adobe Digitial Reader. She needs to have all her devices registered under ONE email account. This is for the DRM lock.
I'll let someone else talk about reader apps and tablets.
On the Nook Tablet, you should be able to download the overdrive app, http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/overdrive-media-console-overdrive-inc/1113021293?ean=2940043354334 is the direct link to it. Then you just add your library to the app, then download books to that app.
http://www.overdrive.com/help-videos/ If you scroll down the page their is a video for Nook Tablet, and shows how to install the app.
Once the apps are downloaded and the libraries are added you just go through that app to search for books.
Adobe ID is not flash, like EMily said :) One email address for everything is best.
