I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has used the LifePac curriculum? I am strongly considering purchasing the 2nd grade level for my daughter for next year, but I was really hoping to find someone who has used this brand before that could give me some feedback! My daughter works well with workbooks. Right now we use different ones just from the store. I teach her whatever is in each section using our own style and I have her do a page or 2 from them, then after she has it down, we go back into the workbooks and do a few more pages sort of as a test. The LifePac curriculum appears to be in a plain workbook format, and that would allow us to continue our style of learning as we are already doing it, but I would feel more confident that she was learning what she needed for that grade level. Right now I'm using store bought workbooks that I am picking out myself. So I would feel better with an all-in-one put together curriculum that will let us do things our way, yet we would know what to do and have good worksheets to go along with it. If anyone can tell me anything about LifePac I would be grateful!

I think LifePac would suit you, and your DD well. We've tried them here and there through the years and they just aren't DS's style. The content is good. What I recommend is you order a few from PBS to see if you like the set up/content, and to see if they're the right grade level fit. Then if they are, you could purchase them new from AOP. JC |

We have used Lifepacs for several years for Language and Science and now for Accounting and Communications. Lifepacs have worked well for him. They are thorough. The self tests show if we need to work more on anything. We used Math U See for most of our math as I like the instructions on DVDs.
