I read this book quite a few years ago. I remember enjoying it. I think it would qualify as historic fiction and is based in the times of ancient Rome. The main character is a female warrior trying to avenge the destruction of her family and tribe.

It's been a long time since I read this but it was very good. I was completely engrossed. Would like to read it again some day!
