RiP, Lillian.

i looked up her book list for "The Cat Who ...." series to find the ones I never read and PBS only shows 6 of the 29 books in the series. (rumors are that last 3 were ghost-written which explains the poorer quality of those stories)

What's up with that?

Update:  When I went under search and typed in her name, a few more titles show up, but still not near 29 !

There's only one "L" in the first name - Lilian.  I did an Advanced search with Braun in the author box and "Cat Who" in the title and came up with 498 books.

They must not be connected for some reason.  Maybe her name is miss-spelled on some listings?

Fictfact.com is a great place to see what order series book go and to mark off which ones you read.  You have to sign up but it's free.  Fantasticfiction.com is good too. You don't have to sign up for that but you can't track books on it, just look them up.

mary, thanks for those resources. They sound like a good way for me to get lists of a series of books by an author.

Rhonda, thanks for the correction-- when I typed in Braun in the search engine, the choices came up with the first name spelled with 2 L's.

I always thought that The Cat Who Went into the Closet was written by someone else...Qwill is often snarky and not himself at all -

The system won't connect if the name isn't exactly the same, which can cause problems with an author that uses 3 names! I love the Cat Who series and have built up a collection of hard covers over the years for my keeper shelves. I think I am only missing a couple of the really early ones.

Its odd that they cancelled the last book if they had a ghost writter, why not just have them finish? I just attributed the difference in the books to her declining health.

She can be found as Lilian (one L) and Lillian (2 Ls) in the PBS search files.  The one L spelling is the correct one however. Pat

Jeanne, thanks for bringing this up -- I'm going to work on editing the incorrect spellings.  We don't edit the non-ISBN items, so you may still see those misspelled, but regular ISBN items should be fixed soonish (as soon as I can get them edited and the approvers can approve them).
