When I am on Book Bazaar posts, I see that some posters have a link set up between each book they are listing to a individual description of each book. I can't figure out how to set up these links. Can someone educate me? (I have a Dell laptop.) Thank you. |

Susan, I am so bad at trying to explain this stuff but I hope you will understand
Bring up the book you want put in the post. then lift click to highlight in blue, right click and click on copy go to where you want to post it and right click and click on paste. then click on ctrl, alt and v . It should bring up a box and then you right click and paste information in it and then you click on ok

Here's how I do it. I open two windows, type the book information in the reply box of the first window. In the second window I find the book listing on the pbs website and copy the URL. Then I go back to the first window, highlight the title of the book and click the link icon (it's blue and green and in the 4th to last set of links in the top icon bar), and paste the URL of the book's pbs page listing into the box. Hi Suz -- Some people drag and drop; others copy and paste; depends a bit on the browser you're using. What I do: 1) Open two windows of PBS. 2) In Window 1, go to the "Post a Reply" box in the thread and type your message that includes the title of the book. Highlight the title and click on the "link" icon (the 8th icon from the right on the top bar of the reply box). This brings up the link box with a blank space for the URL. 3) In Window 2, go to the book page of the book. Highlight and copy the URL (the address at the type of the page that starts with www.paperbackswap.com...). 4) Return to Window 1 and paste the address into the URL box. Click OK. Oops -- I was too late. The above poster gave the same directions.

The link button looks like a little football helmet. I think it is a globe with a chain below it. (Unlink has a broken chain.). The tool bar opens or closes with a small triangle in the side of the posting space. This brings down or closes the tool bar, depending on your default settings. (The toolbar seems to be hidden on many phone or tablet apps.)
