I enjoyed the story but how the guy could have fallen in love with an obnoxious girl who is out to make his life miserable is beyond me. However, we do catch glimpses of her good traits and he's not an abusive jerk. If they'd had a civil and candid conversation, they could have worked everything out but then we wouldn't have a story.

JO DOMINI'S IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR FINALLY LED INTO TROUBLE. IT WASN'T ENOUGH THAT INSULTED THE CONTE LEANDRO TEMPERA AGGRAVATED HER FATHER AND FRUSTRATED HER SISTER WHO WISHED TO MARRY. NOW SHE HAD LASHED OUT IN DESPAIR AT THE ITALIAN CUSTOM REQUIRING THE OLDER SISTER TO BE WED FIRST.
