Just wanted to double check before RWAPing 2 books I just got in.  I stated in another post how I've been having trouble with ordering children's books lately.  Well, the 2 I just got have lipstick "kisses" on the inside front and back covers and/or end pages.  This is definitely lipstick and not part of the book.

While I hate to RWAP these 2 books as they are otherwise fine, it's kind of grossing me out to think that someone had their mouth on the book and then sent it to me.  I am not a germophobe by any means, but I am not pleased by this.

So, what say you?  Lipstick=stain?  RWAP?  I could theoretically neatly remove the endpapers, but should I have to?

Yup, I think lipstick is definitely staining and you can RWAP on that.

On the other hand, if the books arrived endpapers missing, which is allowed, you wouldn't be able to RWAP.

So, I think it's up to you. What I would probably do is just remove the endpapers, but if the lipstick is on the inside of the cover and you can't get it off, then I would RWAP.
