I would love to get to be one of those reviewers who gets sent ARCs to read in exchange for reviews - how do you manage that? Do any reviewers get paid or is it just in exchange for getting new publications? I never really thought about it until I saw this forum so now I'm curious. Thanks!

Goodreads.com is a source.  There are giveaways you can enter.  There are others but I think they are more for professional reviewers.

Thereadingroom.com is another possible source but I've discovered that they don't always send you the book they say you've "won" and do not answer emails.

I received a book from someone who said they reveiw books and write a review on them in a newspaper. Also sent to reviewers, librarians, bloggers, bookstores, and similar outlets. They are looking to encourages book sales.

Thank you Katie B and Sally S for the advice - I'll look into Goodreads. I  thought maybe publishing companies have a list or something that people get on as a regular thing and was wondering how.

I've been a member for years, but this is my first time posting in the forums, so I hope I don't mess anything up! LOL. 

 

I have a *signed* ARC of A Dark Mind, by T. R. Ragan which I will swap for one PBS book credit. 

 

I also have ARCs of the following books. As none of these have waiting lists, I will send them free with any regular request from my bookshelf. 

The Vault, by Boyd Morrison

Criminal, by Karin Slaughter

Gideon's Corpse, by Preston & Child

The Grand Sophy, by Georgette Heyer (no longer available)

A Good American, by Alex George

The Dawn Patrol, by Don Winslow

 

All are paperbacks. None have been read. Criminal and Gideon's Corpse have a bit of scuffing on the corners of the spines, but are otherwise in excellent condition. A Good American has a small rip in the cover near the spine. The other four are in perfect condition.

I'm also a Box-O-Books member, if you'd rather swap via boxes. :-)
