I'm a new member, but I'm already obsessed!  =)

We have a great library sale going on, and I was going to pick up some books if there were several requests for them, but I don't see any easy way to see how many people want particular books (without just going in and entering random titles).

Also, is there a way to see how many copies of a particular book are listed before we post books?  If there are 40 copies of something available, I would rather just donate the book to the libarary sale.

Try Community>Top 50s for lists of most requested and most wished-for lists.

Hi Erin and welcome to PBS :-)

You might like to look at the "PBS Top 50", which will show the top 50 requested, posted and wished for items, either overall, in the last 7 days or the last 30 days.  http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/top_50.php

You can also see the Club Wish List (all the items folks are wishing for) and browse by title or genre, so if you're going to a mystery sale, for example, you could see what folks are looking for in terms of mysteries, etc. http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/wish_list.php

I know some folks carry PBS lists with them to booksales, etc. and a search of the forums may turn up more details on what they find most useful.

Cheers,

Catt

Also - I always pick up crafting books at library sales.  You will never have trouble getting rid of them, even if they are not on anyone's wishlist.

There are also certain authors who will always get requested.  Terry Pratchett (you can just send those straight to me...LOL!) and Christopher Moore are 2 that I know of.
