I love Pam Houston...everyone of her books. You have to read her to understand. What a life & the way she writes about it and all of the people & animals...the best. Wish she wrote more!

Although I love Pam's previous books, I was kind of disappointed in this one. I know she's done alot of adventurous things in her life, but this book was too self-centered, I thought. It's as if she is trying too hard to convince readers how cool she is. I also found myself wondering how she finds time to spend on her beautiful ranch in SW Colorado, with her dogs and horses, if she is out on these adventures so much of the time.
